Tim has done a really great job tiling our kitchen. Very tidy, careful and a hard worker. He’s easy to get along with too and clearly takes pride in his work. We would definitely use him again and would recommend him.

We’ve just had our hallway re-tiled, and our new porch tiled, by Tim. Hinckley Tiling was recommended to us by several people on a local Facebook page, and we’re so pleased that we chose this company.
Excellent service from the start, and we are extremely happy with the work Tim’s done, and love our new floors!
Communication was excellent throughout. Tim visited our house to measure up, discuss what tiles we were likely going to buy, and emailed us a very reasonable quote, all within a week or so from when I first contacted him. He fully explained what he would need to do, approximately how long it would take him to complete the job, what work would be included in the quote, and when he would likely be able to start the job. I asked whether he could recommend any good places to buy the new tiles, and he suggested a couple of local companies which he said had a good range of tiles, one of them being Debright Tiles, which is where we ended up buying them from, as the range was fantastic. Tim was kind and professional, and by the time he left after the first visit, we felt confident that he was the right man for the job, as long as we were happy with his quote.
We received the quote by email the following day, which we thought was a very reasonable price, so we accepted. Within a few days, we arranged a start date, which was slightly earlier than he anticipated, so we were delighted!
Tim was very accommodating, as he quoted for square tiles, as this is what we were planning on buying, but we ended up buying hexagonal tiles, which included several different tiles, of which the overall placement of each of the different tiles could be done in various ways, depending on personal taste. I sent Tim pictures of all the tiles, which was a significant change from what we originally told him, and what he had quoted for. He was fine about it, even though it was close to the fitting date, and he quickly emailed out a new quote, as these hexagonal tiles would take longer to complete than the one style of square tiles we had originally told him we were getting. Again, the new quote was very reasonable, and Tim explained that with the hexagonal tiles, the job would take slightly longer too.
Several days before the fitting date, Tim contacted me to let me know the date and time when the skip would be delivered and discussed the colour of grout which we wanted him to use, of which he was able to tell me what colour he thought would go best with the tiles, which ended up being spot-on.
He arrived to fit on the day and time agreed upon and spent time arranging the tiles in several different ways, so I could decide which way I liked best, and he made sure I was happy with how and where I wanted the pattern arranged, helping me by suggesting various ways it could be done, until he started the job.
The whole job took about four days. During those days he was here from first thing in the morning, and worked until 5pm/6pm, only leaving for a very short break once or twice each day. We have numerous cats that needed keeping away from where he was working, and he even made sure he kept the doors shut etc.so none of our indoor cats and kittens could escape. He kept us informed and made sure we were happy with how things were going at each step, particularly when arranging the floor tiles. Gave us a couple of options when he found a couple of cracks in the concrete floor, which were unveiled after removing the hall tiles. Tim also did everything else he said he needed to do as we planned, including putting new metal door strips on a couple of doors. Tim was helpful and professional throughout, including tidying up after himself after each day and after completing the job. He made sure we were happy with everything after completion, of which we were. Tim did an amazing job, and we are delighted with the final result, all extremely well-fitted. Tim also gave us after-care instructions. Overall, we would 💯 recommend Tim if you need tiling. Thank you, Tim! You’ll be hearing from us in the future when we plan on having new tiles in our kitchen 👍

We left Tim to tile a large kitchen and sun room whilst we went away. Not only did he do a fantastic job with the tiling, but he looked after and respected our property while we were away. Highly recommended.
